The story of this project begins about a year ago, when I decided to get a master’s degree in visual communication. This project is basically my first school project after a 5 years break (this is from the first semester by the way).

“Monumentype” presents a series of 3D renders. Composed of elements that imitate concrete and steel, the images show a series of structures built on the shapes of the letters of the Latin alphabet.

Seen from above, the shapes of the letters are clear, quite easy to identify. However, by changing the camera position, the letters become hard to recognize and the generated images look more like the details of brutalist structures than typographical elements.
